$18-20/hour

Hourly

Monday through Friday

7:00am – 3:30pm

BENEFITS

Health, Vision, and Dental: Base plan cost covered 100%

Paid Time Off: 15 days per year

Paid Company Holidays: 10 days per year

Overtime Pay: 1.5x rate over 40 hours per week

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the day-to-day sample receipt and preparation in the chemistry department. This position requires fine motor skills and the ability to maintain attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks, such as accurate pipetting for long periods of time. The incumbent is trained in all preparation methods under the chemistry department for flower, extract, and infused cannabis samples. They will follow all standard operating procedures to handle samples from receipt to disposal, prepare samples for analysis, and record all data into LIMS while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy. The incumbent will be trained on all preparation methods techniques for subsequent cannabinoid, terpene, pesticide, mycotoxin, residual solvent, and/or metal analysis. This individual will also be trained on techniques such as moisture content, water activity analysis and foreign materials screening. There may be opportunities to advance quickly into a supervisory role, managing the training and oversight of other technicians.

  • Willing to work overtime on occasion.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

  • Bachelors’ Degree
  • 1 year laboratory experience under ISO 17025 or FDA regulations
  • Must undergo background check prior to hire
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

PREFERRED

  • BS in Natural Sciences
  • Experience with LIMS
  • Cannabis laboratory experience
